The Fasteners Manufacturers and Businessmen Association (BESIAD) is a unifying force in the Turkish fasteners sector. Founded 26 years ago by 14 colleagues, our association now represents a very strong structure with 122 members. 80 of our members are direct fastener manufacturers, while 42 members operate as subcontractors and suppliers providing services to our sector in areas such as raw materials, tools, machinery, heat treatment, and coating.
As an association encompassing all manufacturing stages from raw material production to coating, we continue our activities for the development of our sector while also focusing on new avenues. Thanks to these activities, our fasteners sector has grown approximately 26 times since the association's founding and has reached a significant position in the global market.
We believe that the path to achieving the goals outlined in our vision will be developed through collaborations with sector representatives around the world. Considering the competitive nature of our members in the market, we cannot say that these collaborations will be easily realized, but our energy is high. In this context; As BESİAD, we believe that the philosophy of "pre-competitive cooperation," which we have internalized, will be beneficial for all fastener manufacturers. We are confident that it is fair to say that a fastener manufacturer in one corner of the world faces, and even struggles with, problems not so different from those in another corner.
Our association's future vision includes promoting our country's fastener industry in more countries, increasing its awareness, and creating new markets. We aim to achieve this through participation in international fairs and trade delegations organized through our umbrella organizations. In line with this goal, the FASTENER EXPO EURASIA Eurasian Industrial Fasteners and Fixing Elements Fair, held within our country, holds a significant place. Our aim is for our member companies with export potential, as well as other members aiming for export, to participate in this fair to acquire international customers, take steps towards exporting, and find new customers and business opportunities in the domestic market.
Training activities for our sector and members are also of great importance among our association's activities. Our training programs continue, focusing primarily on topics that closely affect our industry, such as digitalization and carbon footprint, as well as other areas that will improve quality levels and facilitate manufacturing during the production process.
